Heathside Veterinary Surgery is managed by Jeremy Giles along with five experienced colleagues and a dedicated nursing team. The practice strives to provide excellent clinical care and a friendly personal service for the local community and their pets.
Heathside was established in 1998 and has recently extended the premises to accommodate the increased demands and services we provide. We have been an approved nurse training practice since 1999 and have successfully trained many veterinary nurses over the years, all passing their exams the first time around.
We firmly believe that prevention is better than cure and to this end, we provide a high standard of preventative health care and advice, as well as the very best medical and surgical care.
We are ideally located in Locks Heath and have clients utilising our services from Whiteley, Park Gate, Titchfield, Warsash, Sarisbury Green, Fareham, Stubbington, Lee On Solent and Gosport. Some even travel from as far afield as Bournemouth and London, who we have known for many years.

A fantastic veterinary practice. The staff all care so much about the welfare of their patients, going above what you’d normally expect from a veterinary practice.Sadly we lost one of our older dogs to cancer a few years ago, and the staff were all so upset as they all regarded Maxxy Boy to be one of their own pets.We have moved away from the local area, but we still continue to use this practice because of the way that our pets are treated. Each one of our pets is regarded as if they belong to the staff.

Staff are a delight which is just as well given the awkward access - but not insurmountable with their willing help + ramp - with the same levels of patience and understanding extended to pet parents as well as to the pets themselves. No complaints about pet (dog in my case) health care and Mia loves going, as did the late Mickey before her.

This is really a great vet in town.. not looking merely for money. Alina was friendly, helpful and tried her very best to help me with my cat. Strongly recommend this vet and I’m sure I will be going there whenever I need a vet.

I took my little girl cat to be spayed a few days ago, turns out she’s actually a he 🤣 staff were so lovely, we had a little giggle about it and they carried on with the neutering.So lovely 🐾 x

Thank you so much to Heathside Vets and their amazing staff, who looked after our much loved terrier. Over night, Red couldn't put weight on one of his paws and appeared to be in pain. The staff quickly made an appointment for us and we were seen within an hour of making the call. After some investigation, it was discovered that he had an infection from stepping on something in the garden.The staff and service from the practice was fantastic, especially from Vet Tris and Nurse Sophie Lumb. They both stood out for their amazing team work and bedside manner. Tris gave honest advice on how to treat Red and we felt we could call on him should we have any worries. Sophie was empathetic and eased our nerves with regards to administering medicine and his after care. We even received a follow up call from her on a Sunday. They are a credit to your great team. Thank you Heathside for taking care of our beloved pet.

Thursday was the hardest day for me and my family. We had to say goodbye to our baby Jet, after 13 years. I can’t recommend Heathside enough. Our family decided to have this done at home, it wasn’t a simple visit Jeramy. He was with us for over an hour and a half. They had to much care and compassion for us and Jet and our other animals. Thank you!

I can not thank Heathside and all the team enough - not only for the outstanding care to my dog throughout but to me as a concerned dog mum. I have had the pleasure of having David the vet throughout most of the care and treatments - he is caring, thorough in what he explains, and patient with any questions I have. All the nurses and receptionists are so caring and friendly too. I had Candice greet my dog and I before surgery yesterday morning and she really put my dog and I at ease. I would just like to say a big thank you for taking good care of my darling 16 yr old Toby, I have just collected his ashes and he’s in the sweetest casket, back home where he belongs.
